FEATHERFOLIO ENCORE A follow up to the most popular exhibit in BIMA’s history featuring Olympia artist Chris Maynard, a wall installation titled ‘Mitigation Dreams’ celebrating the diversity and abundance of the bird world utilizing many different kinds of feathers will hangs thru Feb 15 along with ‘Reflecting on Collecting,’ ‘Storytime with Mare’ plus ‘Max Grover: Driving through a Winter Wonderland’ (thru Jan 30) and ‘Aisha Harrison: Porous Body’ (thru Feb 22) at Bainbridge Island Museum of Art. ‘OLD FRIENDS’ A group of longtime gallery artists curated by BAC’s interim executive director Susan Jackson in her final exhibition reflecting the history, relationships and creative spirit that have shaped the organization over many years hangs thru Dec 28 with a first friday opening reception 6-8 p.m. Dec. 5 at Bainbridge Arts & Crafts. ‘CLEAR SALTWATER CREATIONS’ A group exhibit of local indigenous artists from Suquamish featuring Kate Ahvakana’s digitally composed works on paper, metal and other media, muralist, carver and graffiti artist Toma Villa and photographer, educator and Canoe Journey Captain Nigel Lawrence will hand through February with receptions 6-8 p.m. Dec 5 and Jan 2 at the Jeffrey Moose Gallery, Bainbridge.
