Ugh, I hate it when the bank account keeps visualizing overdraft fees when you want the complete opposite. Manifestation is definitely an art form where there isn’t a hard set recipe for success. There are some potent ingredients though, and you are on the right track. Gratitude is definitely the first ingredient. Gratitude is not just saying “thanks” and tallying the funds, but sitting in the deep soul space of gratefulness because you have received something that eases your time, effort, and energy. Being grateful for the basics like having a roof over your head, food in your belly, and being surrounded by people you love, while realizing that these aren’t just a given, is a good place to start. In the usual hustle and bustle of the day to day it’s easy to take these for granted.
A second potent ingredient is visualization. I ask clients when they are thinking about whatever they want to manifest, how do they want to feel when they have it? Are they at peace? Are they overwhelmed with joy? Are they bursting with happiness? Are there any other feelings popping up as they visualize their desires? I ask them to sit with that feeling and locate it in their body. This way clients can identify when they’ve achieved their dream by this feeling. Write down what you want your life to look like as you experience this feeling. Be as detailed and creative as possible. Feel free to make a vision board, paint, etc.
A third, potent and necessary ingredient is action. This is where “feet meet faith” as my wife says. You have to take physical action towards what you want to manifest. If it’s a fat bank account you want, it’s time to get some financial literacy. Set a budget, stick to it, and find an accountability buddy to support you. Open an interest earning savings account with an automatic deposit schedule. Look into low risk investing, and plan on playing the long game. Be on the lookout for opportunities to earn a little side money and say YES to them as they come in.
A fourth potent ingredient is a dash of ritual magic. Take that piece of paper where you wrote your desire/dream down and on the new moon, fold it up and hide it somewhere in your home where you will forget about it. Yes, that’s right, forget about it. Hide it under the couch, behind the bookshelf, or in the back of a cupboard somewhere, and let it marinate while you practice deep soul gratitude, and take actions towards your desires.
Does this mean money will instantly fall out of the sky and land in your lap? Not always. It might look like a killer new job, or discovering a local co-op with resources, or finding a $20.00 bill in a jacket pocket. It’s never quite literally what we asked for, but it does sure hit that feeling we discovered.
