I’ve thought for years if we ever start doing restaurant reviews, it probably oughta start with Crazy Eric’s. Now the time has come to roost.
There’s no time-sensitive, monthly flash going on here.
No next big thing. We are old school. Cheeseburgers. Dogs. Fries. Milkshakes. Since 1961. Cash only. It’s a classic.
I’ve gotten more bags of burgers from Eric’s than I can remember. Six burgers for under six bucks. Is that even still a thing? I remember the first time I called ahead for a whole box of burgers. It was my kid’s birthday party at the arcade that night. Less than $50 to feed the whole party.
Best day of my life.
Parking’s a bit of a pain in the ass. You’ve got to stand in the rain or sit in the car while you wait for your order. Worth it. For me. Every time. I kind of enjoy standing in the rain waiting to hear them yell my name out the window at this point.
Good for a grab and go if you want to smash a cheeseburger on the drive.
Plus, mothafuckin milkshakes.
The good kind. Made to order. Ice cream sundaes and rootbeer floats if you’re into that. Harvey’s Hot Buttered Rum. Corn dogs. Fried-egg Truck Stop Burgers!
Pro tip, you probably don’t need the large fry if you get the onion rings. Boom. First restaurant review. Done. // NICK SLEDGE
